Sr. Madeleine was born and raised in northern Illinois. She first came to New Jersey in 2014 to attend Assumption College for Sisters while discerning religious life. After a year at ACS, she entered a cloistered monastery for three years. Sr. Madeleine left the monastery to pursue a vocation to active religious life. She spent two years serving as a caregiver for the elderly in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During that time, Sr. Madeleine returned often to visit the Sisters of Christian Charity in Mendham and gradually realized that this felt like home. She entered the Sisters of Christian Charity on August 10, 2020, and was invested as a novice the following August. She feels so blessed to be serving here at St. James during her apostolic novitiate year.
