Summer Enrichment Camps will run June 23-27 and August 18-22. All camps will be from 9:00-11:30 AM at Saint James School. Enrollment will remain open until camp spots are filled or until May 1. The Week of June 23-27
Early Childhood Camp

Grades: Kindergarten and First Grade
Description: This camp is for all children who have finished Kindergarten or will be entering Kindergarten at Saint James School. This camp will focus on building social and academic skills needed for Kindergarten and First Grade through games and activities. It will include both indoor and outdoor play. Come and have fun while learning with friends!
STEAM
Instructors: Carmen Marra and Lila Greenstone
Grades: preK4-Grade 1
Description: Each day we will work on different themes exploring the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through fun age-appropriate activities. From simple science and technology experiments and basic physics activities with ramps and balls to exploring colors through art and discovering patterns with fun math games, your child will be encouraged to ask questions, explore their surroundings, and make connections along the way.

Reader’s Theatre
Instructors: Joan Rizzo and ToniAnn Waters
Grades: 3-7
Description: Does your child like Reading, Art, and Drama? Reader’s Theatre helps us to practice reading in dramatic and fun ways using scripts to guide us. This interactive enrichment camp will give students the confidence they need to read aloud while fostering teamwork and communication skills. We will make props and scenery during the week and practice the script. At the end of the week, we will invite everyone to come watch! Come and read with us!
Jewelry Making
Grades: 1-5
In jewelry making we will learn how to make bracelets and necklaces with a few different materials. We will make bracelets out of embroidery floss, perfect for the summer and learn how to read patterns. We will also incorporate beads and charms for different styles of jewelry or even keychains. For both beginners and advanced creators.

Description: Creative Writing Workshop for students in grades 4-8 offers an opportunity for inspiring writers to further enhance their writing skills and express their creativity through fun and thoughtful writing projects. Over the week students will focus on various types of creative writing including: Poetry, Song lyrics, Short fiction Stories, Comic Strips, Plays, and Journals. By the end of the program, each student will have created an original and innovative portfolio of creative writing.
Week of August 18-22

Description: This camp will feature a different activity every day. Activities will include soccer, basketball, volleyball and cooperative games such as kickball, tag, and pin knockdown.
Grades 2-5

Description: Come travel around the world! We will learn about the language, landmarks, food, and customs of a different country every day. Through hands-on exploration and activities, kids will “visit” different places with friends and build a Lego creation from around the world!

Grades: 4-8
Description: Creative Journalism for students in grades 4-8 offers an exciting opportunity for young writers to explore the world of journalism. Over the course of the program, participants will learn to write news articles, editorials, sports reports, advertisements, and informational essays about current events and culturally significant topics. Through hands-on writing exercises, students will sharpen their writing skills, enhance their ability to research, and develop a deeper understanding of how the media shapes public discourse. By the end of the program, each student will have created a diverse portfolio of journalistic work.
